Frontier Technologies for Climate

AI, IoT, digital twins and immersive technologies can be used for climate-specific applications, such as precision farming/agriculture, smart forestry and climate modeling, and in general for energy efficiency and resource optimization. The same technologies and their data-driven nature though come at an energy cost and have their own carbon footprint. A cost-benefit analysis needs to be made, to reap the potential of these technologies for a net positive impact on the environment.
