The Impact of AI, Blockchain, and other Frontier Technologies on Climate, which took place on 11 October 2023, was the second in the IEEE Technology Center for Climate webinar series Empowering The Green Tech Revolution: From Design to Deployment.

AI, IoT, digital twins and immersive technologies can be used for climate-specific applications, such as precision farming/agriculture, smart forestry and climate modeling, and in general for energy efficiency and resource optimization. The same technologies and their data-driven nature though come at an energy cost and have their own carbon footprint. A cost-benefit analysis needs to be made, to reap the potential of these technologies for a net positive impact on the environment.

Join the webinar to hear from policy makers, industry, and energy providers to learn more on how we can reap the benefits of frontier technologies while working towards net zero impact of these technologies.
