As part of the Direct Current for European Union (DCforEU) Horizon Europe Framework Programme-funded project, ITCC has produced a video highlighting how HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology is key to address Europe's growing energy demands and reach its climate targets by 2050.
The DCforEU project aims to engage with the scientific and industry community, policy makers and consumers to create awareness about HVDC and DC technologies. It is implemented by a consortium including IEEE Europe, KU Leuven (project coordinator), the Danish Technical University and Supergrid Institute.

AI Risks and Opportunities for Biodiversity webinar
|
|
How can AI support biodiversity without causing further environmental harm? This webinar, organized by ITCC in collaboration with the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence’s (GPAI) RAISE project and supported by Centre d’expertise international de Montréal en Intelligence artificielle (CEIMIA), brought together speakers from the Global Partnership on AI, Whale Seeker, CapGemini, University of Fribourg and the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society.
Working Group on AI for Biodiversity
Following our webinar “AI Risks and Opportunities for Biodiversity”, we invite you to continue this important discussion at the intersection of AI and biodiversity. If you or your colleagues are interested in participating in a future working group on AI for Biodiversity Metrics and Data, please contact us at itcc@ieee.org.
Once we gather sufficient interest, we will share further details about the group’s formation and next steps.
